The Rules of Cornhole are Easy to Learn

Placing the boards 27 feet apart, players stand on the side(s) of the boards and toss their designated colored bags across to the other board. You earn points by tossing the bags onto the board, with the goal to get it on the board or in the hole. The game is played to the predetermined number of 21 points. The first player or team to reach (or exceed) that amount at the conclusion of an inning is the winner. The approved method of scoring for the sport of cornhole is “cancellation” scoring. In cancellation scoring, the points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent. Using this method, only one player or team can score in each inning.

(1 Point Each) Bag-In-The-Count (Woody): Any bag that comes to rest anywhere on top of the board.

(3 Points Each) Bag In-The-Hole (Cornhole): Any bag that is thrown through the hole or knocked through the hole by another bag.

(No points) Foul Bags – Refers to any bag that has not been determined as Bag In-The-Count or Bag In-The Hole or was designated a foul bag as the result of rules violation.
